South of Ireland Pipe Band Championships
At the South of Ireland Contest, in previous years we ran an ‘Open March’ contest whereby, any band could play a second time with the 4 parts QMT requirements. This led to band performances of less than two minutes duration.
This year we are proposing a ‘Band Performance’ instead, as a second ‘run’ for any band – take up any formation – no need to march if you don’t want – play anything – stop the band if necessary during the performance – solo, drum corps or group bits can be included – just a minimum of five minutes playing time.

All the band does not have to play all of the time (solo, drum corps or group bits) Can be a short break between music segments. Band can take up any formation, does not have to march to or from the performance area

Parking is available at the old Lidl site which is just a short distance from the venue.
