The IPBA is organising a massed band parade for Fleadh Cheoil na Éireann to be held in Wexford town in August. The Fleadh attracts thousands of visitors every year and this is an exciting opportunity for pipers and drummers to join in the fun. All pipers, drummers and drum majors are welcome. Please spread the word. The parade will commence at 16.00 on Wexford Quays. The President of Ireland , Michael D. Higgins will be in attendance.

For visiting bands or pipe band players a shuttle bus will be organised to and from the parade from one of the designated car park areas around Wexford Town.

Pipers will only require 2 sets of tunes to participate in the parade.

Set 1 will be ‘Mo Ghile Mear’ . Mo Ghile Mear is an ABA tune- that is 1st. part, 2nd. part, 1st. part to finish but for the purpose of a massed band the tune will be 1st. part, 2nd.part, 1st. part, 2nd. part repeatedly until the end when the tune will finish up on the 1st. part.  Click to Download the setting of  ‘Mo Ghile Mear’.
