DESCRIPTION:Download the Order of Play ( https://ipba.ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Band-and-Drum-Majors-draw-and-timings-2026.pdf )\n Download the Syllabus\nDownload the Entry Form\n2 Innovative Additions to the Leinster Championships to facilitate bands with beginner members and bands competing at the British Championships in Edinburgh. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs part of our youth development plan the Leinster Branch are trialling a practice run for new/inexperienced players.\nThis involves a band with Junior members, whom they wish to have play alongside more experienced members, perform in a contest setting and receive a judges’ comment sheet.\nThe aim is to encourage inexperienced players to partake at the contest on the\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nday and gain the experience of a controlled start, playing into an arena, forming a circle and executing a finish.\nThis performance may take the form of simple marches as appropriate to the inexperienced players.\nBands wishing to avail of this opportunity can register by email dionneos@hotmail.com\nThis is a Trial and your feedback /comments are greatly appreciated.\nTo facilitate bands heading to the first Major in Edinburgh, if a band so chooses, we will allow them to play their alternate set and receive a set of judges’ sheets.\nBands taking part in the contest can play up a Grade once they meet the necessary syllabus requirements as per tune selection and time constraint if applicable.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
